Review on Sabrent 2.5 Inch Aluminum Enclosure: Ultimate Protection for EC MSSA Drive by Jesus Jenkins

I bought one of these to upgrade my computer's mSATA drive to a new Samsung. Samsung SSDs feature "Samsung Magician" software that allows you to copy an old drive to a new device. The problem with placing my new Samsung SSD externally in this device is that the Magician software only replicates *onto* the Samsung device and this enclosure hides the actual drive type behind the adapter so the Magician software doesn't work with it. .I ordered this before realizing I had a second mSATA port (Oh!), which luckily made the process a lot easier for me than the brute force Windows restore alternative with this adapter. Other than that, this is a great body. with tight machine tolerances and good looks. Certainly something handy - just be careful when using software that depends on a specific vendor.
