Keeps laptop cool. I've had many coolers and this one is definitely thinner. The last cooler was topmate tm-2 302 ultra slim, this model is thinner. It also seems to release more air. I have a Precision 5530 15.6 the size of a standard 14 inch model and it sags a bit on each side. The passage of the USB port is also in the opposite direction of how the Topmate was routed, which I wanted so that the USB port next to it would not be blocked by the cable. Slightly louder than Topmate but not very noticeable. Not the best, but very handy and hard to beat for the price, which is why I give it 5 stars.
