I bought this for my Halloween costume about a month ago and finally tried it. It initially did a fantastic job when connected to my 30,000mAh Imuto battery (via the fast charge port as higher fan demand would require additional bandwidth) and I was happy with it. After 15 minutes, the fan unexpectedly started dying. When I tried to unplug the USB from the power bank, the USB port got so hot it almost burned me (the battery pack was slightly warm). I had a AA battery that came with the fan as a backup and when I plugged it in the fan started working again. However, it only lasted about 25-30 minutes with the same USB port overheating issue. The AA pack was also noticeably hot. So I decided to try a regular USB port on the Imuto (which was only 1% drained from previous use). This helped me get through the rest of the trick or treatment session (about 40 minutes). The fan went off when I got back to our house. So overall I was able to spend about an hour between two battery packs with plenty of spare batteries. Aside from the inconvenience of changing the power adapter, USB port overheating after a short period of use seems to be a major safety issue. Obviously the fan is pulling too hard on the USB cable/connector. When the fan kicks in, it works GREAT (which is why I didn't give it only one star). But that quickly turns into frustration and a potential security risk. This design was not well laid out electrically. If you are looking for a reliable fan I would give it up and look elsewhere.
