Managed to install the block to replace the original one. Unfortunately, on the final step, the connector's plastic tab didn't snap into place no matter how hard I pushed. With the original device, the plug simply clicked into place without any effort. I have requested a replacement and will update in due course. Update: Replacement received and installed three days later. This time the connector fitted a little better, although it still took some effort to get the latch in place. Drive a little around the city, everything is fine. Changed to 3 stars to indicate this is acceptable but could be better.
