Not enough juice to charge Found out. Those weren't connections. I tried the terminals on the battery, tried to insert the plug into the cigarette lighter socket. Do not go. During the night I got enough juice to get the light on after opening the door, but not enough to start the engine (the car is in a heated attached garage). Went to the store and bought a charger other than this one and it worked like a charm. This can be useful for servicing small batteries for mowers, boats or whatever, but definitely not enough power to charge a car battery.
