Some time ago we stopped using paper napkins. The reality is that cotton napkins don't last forever. When I had to replace the ones we had after they got too dirty or tattered, these looked like a good option. Our old ones had a very thin rim, which I prefer. The weight was about the same. Overall, these are good towels that can withstand many washes with hot water and sometimes bleach. I would recommend them for everyday napkins but not for an elegant dinner party. The edges are slightly crooked and slightly wavy. They are good at ironing, I don't know as I don't iron for everyday use.
