First off, I personally love this case! I work at a factory that makes truck frames for the Ford F-150. So I weld and grind a lot, which means metal dust is pretty much everywhere. So I wanted a case where the ports would be closed. This case does just that. The only open port is the bottom speaker. Even the warning slide is closed. BTW, I'll note that you can open it because it's closed, but you'll need either long nails or very small hands or an ink pen or whatever to get in there and tweak it. I bought a screen protector that I had experience with, so my plan from the start was to remove the built-in screen protector and use the one I bought. The reason I mentioned this, and also the reason for the 4 stars, is that when I first started installing the case straight out of the box, the adhesive holding the built in screen protector broke down and it broke immediately detached. I was fine with that, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a little disappointed and also surprised that it didn't work right away. Your experience can be very good. Maybe I just built one at the end of the shift on the Friday before the bank holiday weekend. Other than that, and a small note about the difficulty in accessing the alert slider, this case is amazing! I really like the fit of this case. If you're like me, which I think the majority will be, and you genuinely care about and value your device. The moment you put this case on your phone, it instantly relieves you of the constant, obsessive dread of claiming an accidental damage claim. It really is like that. This case is absolutely designed for the best possible protection. I mean, unless you're the extremely unlucky person who so accidentally dropped your phone at the right angle, where it landed diagonally on the only sharp rock in the entire area, there's absolutely no way your screen something physically touched. I'm sure the transparent back lacks a bit of protection, but if you're careful, seeing this beautiful glass design is a worthy compromise. If, like me, you use your own screen protector, nothing is left open. I was really concerned about this because no screen protector really goes from edge to edge and this case does a great job of making up for that. I highly recommend this case. EDIT January 30, 2021 I would like to inform anyone who is using or considering using this case in combination with the WHITESTONE DOME GLASS screen protector. This is NOT compatible. This case tries to cover the top right and left edges of the screen protector causing it to either tear or peel off the phone. NOTE: This is my experience ONLY with ONEPLUS 7t PRO MCLARE. This case can work in combination with other devices. I do not know.
