Review on 🚿 GP500520 Pressure Balancing Unit Cartridge Replacement for Kohler Shower Valve, Compatible with Rite-Temp Bath and Shower 1/2" Single Handle Valves by Robert Hines

I have a 19 year old sterling silver bath tub faucet with a brass handle that has been dripping for some time. They have a two-piece valve design with a pressure compensator and a snap-on cartridge. Kohler bought Sterling in '08 and many parts for their fittings are hard to come by. Kohler still offers comparable parts, but their knowledge of which parts fit is negligible. This aftermarket balancer had everything I needed to solve my problem. Hard water destroys the small valves in these balancers and requires regular replacement. The original had metal valves where they appear to be plastic. Repair Kits are no longer manufactured. This kit even came with a variety of different sized o-rings and grommets to replace the ones snapped into the cartridge. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a Kohler 5200 series balancer. And if you have an old Sterling set like I have.
