Whilst this is a Kenmore part it fits my GE water softener perfectly as described on the seller page. I learned two things. If you remove the old unit after turning off the water supply and opening the sink valve to relieve pressure, make sure the bypass valve is in the filter position. I had it in bypass and never removed the clamps because there was still pressure in the water softener tank. Second, first attach the fittings to the new block, at least hand tighten them before inserting the block into the softener. Then reattach the clamps and carefully fasten the fittings. I did it upside down the first time, and because the pipes weren't perfectly aligned, I screwed the plastic threads all the way onto the valve before realizing the fittings weren't straight. It cost me to buy another valve and another two days without water. The second attempt with the second valve went well. live and learn
