It was aesthetic what I was looking for. And I think I should have realized that they don't have cork or a softer bottom type. Also, the stone scratched our dining table where it wasn't smooth. Whichever sweat bowl you have, however, leaves ring marks on the stone and does not come off. My son picked one up to put it back in place and the sharp edges cut out a tidy chunk of our table. For coasters on a wooden table, this wasn't a smart move at all. This is very damaging and not as aesthetically pleasing as I had hoped. Instead it causes more stress than anything because my 2k+ packed lunch is now ruined.
