Good for coring apples. I made about three bags. Focus it on the apple, give it a nudge and a few twists and you're done. The core doesn't fall out on its own when you open it, so you have to pry it out with your finger. The only negative I can say about this core is that it doesn't self-align when closing after a core ejection. He moves to the side. It does what I need and I'm happy with it, but I wish I didn't have to level it every time I use it. I would buy it again despite the misalignment.
