I rent out so I can't replace my very old fridge. So I'm stuck with the ice cube trays in my freezer. I wanted something that could make more cubes and save them while I make more. This tray fits! The lid doesn't snap so it can't be flipped to the side, but other than that it's a great way to keep the ice cream free of food debris and odors. It also means you can make ice cream anywhere in your freezer. Just close the lid and place other items on top. This is a game changer if you have limited freezer space. It's the right height for a standard ice cube rack, it should fit perfectly on the side shelf of the freezer (if you plan to use it to freeze another liquid), and it should fit an entire ice tray under the tray, so two ice trays at a time. This is a great little tray. Honestly I couldn't ask for more and the price is great. I see it's only possible to use the silicone tray to mold other things like chocolate and it's easy to clean. The only downside is the lid doesn't snap even though I just leave it on the shelf. If you had to hold it sideways, doubling it up a little should keep it ok. Highly recommended!
