You cannot seal a mating as the threads on these LG tees are not tapered or screw deep. I compared them to the new bar tees and the bar tees turned out to be good. Counterparts with NPT threads are screwed into these tees entirely by hand. On the stem tees I bought locally you can see a few remaining threads so you can get a tight seal. A picture shows an LG T-piece with the counterpart screwed in completely by hand. the same mate is screwed in by hand as much as possible.
