I really wanted a lapel collar for our Ecocollar. Why? Because 1) the dog is unsupervised during the day so we're constantly putting the collar on and off, and 2) everyone in my family interpreted the buckle on the original collar differently, and I've often found that the recipient didn't make contact with our neck of the dog. The tension on this collar won't stay where you set it. The more your dog moves, the looser the collar becomes. Is the puppy playing with another puppy? collar loosens. Is the puppy fidgeting on the bed? collar loosens. having fun and running outside? As you might have guessed, the collar weakens. I used a mediocre solution and it works, but I definitely won't be buying this item again. Do yourself a favor and stick with the Bio-Ten material that comes with the Ecocollar kit - I found it helpful to mark the correct hole with nail polish.
