Great little lantern, convenient levels of brightness, easy to transport, with top hook for hanging. so, why only 4 stars instead of 5? Because it is nearly impossible for some one with small hands (like me) or arthritic hands (like me) to open its bottom cover and access the batteries. A flat head screwdriver, a small hammer, and lots of patience helped to get the cover to slowly unwind and finally open, so as to remove the little plastic sheet that protected one of the batteries. Putting the cover back had its own challenges, for it must be screwed carefully, making sure all the threads align, or there won't be proper contact. All in all, an operation that should have taken 5 - 10 minutes at most, took me about 20 - 30. Well worth it, in the end, because, as I said, it really is a great little lantern, but boy, what a workout! So, get it if you need really bright lights, but make sure you have someone with big strong hands around!
