I have four dogs. One is a bit older and has a small bladder so if he sleeps inside he wakes me 1-3 times a night so he can pee or whatever. Bought this to put under the covers of his garage bed and he loves it. Keeps him warm in all weathers. He's not a puppy so I don't have to worry about him chewing his umbilical cord. Low heat is sufficient. The volume does not need to be increased. Updated 4/6/20. My dog has been wanting more than usual lately so I checked her bed to make sure it was warm and nothing. The indicator light on the control box lights up, but does not heat up. Maybe this time I'll try a brand that lasts longer.
