Only gave 3 stars because the description is wrong. The description says it comes with three inserts of different lengths. It is not. Judging by the photo, they are all the same. Second, your hole should be at least slightly deeper than the length of the thread. Someone suggested cutting out the insert and this can be tricky without stretching the spring, meaning it won't work. They are fairly short, about 3/8 inch long. I'm sure it's perfect for a spare plug. Third, this will probably only work if your hole is aluminum, tin, or some other soft cast metal. If it's steel, the metal will quench the threads on the faucet. I didn't read well enough and skipped the soft material part so as you can see in my picture the threads are sanding when I tried to cut the hole. . In addition, the faucet has no handle, which seems very cheap. You can use an 8mm socket or wrench. I also saw someone say that the insert is difficult to get into the hole. If your hole is a little deeper than the threads, depress the spring on the end of the insert and it will go right in. If your hole is barely deeper than the length of the insert, this is likely a problem. So if you are working with soft metal and just need to cut a thread into a say 3/4 inch deep hole then this set will work very well for you.
