Works well, a little cheap but good for occasional use. I suspect it won't last through everyday use, but for semi-regular use it should be fine. Please note that the cable connectors will feel a little flimsy when you plug something in. My guess is that frequent plugging/unplugging will eventually cause these ports to come loose. If you do this and forget to connect once, I'm sure it will work for that use too. The directions are a joke. As with everything else, assume spyware is built in. I wouldn't recommend this for some entry-level forensic scientists cutting corners to recover Grandma's family photo album. Buy a high-quality docking system for these tasks.
