If you have a medium to large sized dog this is great for keeping them from moving around too much in the back seat. I have a 10lb Shih Tzu so this was too long for him. Because his height keeps him close to the ground, even cutting off the length didn't prevent him from getting off the seat onto the floor or moving from one side of the car to the other. five stars because the quality of the seat belt is still very good and I like that it is multifunctional. This is a great tool for those with large dogs. I kept it as an extra precaution and use it with another seat belt that hooks into my car's headrest. This keeps it anchored both up and down if my car suddenly stops.
