Surprisingly convenient and small package!

TLDR: The most comfortable I've found (tried three others) and the package is surprisingly small (13" Macbook Pro for the scale). Tested on a red-eye flight in Basic Economy Class and slept well! I guess most people don't realize the importance of having a travel pillow as an accessory when traveling long distances. It's uncomfortable enough to sleep on a bed without a pillow, but humans are definitely not made for it Sleeping Sitting Modern transportation forces us to spend long hours in confined spaces and it has become necessary to sleep sitting up.Travel pillows are crucial to keep your head in a comfortable position during a long plane, train or bus journey It amazes me when I see all the people who fly on red-eye flights without a travel pillow. You can save $40 on a good travel pillow, but they'll get their first day or two e ruin on the trip. You pay hundreds of dollars for a flight only to ruin part of the trip for yourself! I confess I was one of those people, it seemed tedious to pack anything extra for this purpose, especially since so much takes up so much space! But I travel a lot, and at one point I decided that the last 3 days of neck pain after a red-eye flight just wasn't worth it, so I've been testing travel pillows for the past few months to find the right one. I think this is it! The problem with travel pillows is that most of them just don't work - they can't stop your head from tipping over when you actually fall asleep. And that rollover wakes you up and violates the purpose of the pillow. A small minority of travel pillows support your head, but they come with their own new set of challenges. Some make your neck so sweaty that you wake up. Others are just too tight or uncomfortable to let you sleep. Still others work very well but are too bulky to carry around and getting through the airport with them brings its own frustrations. This travel pillow is the first one I've found that solves a big problem without adding more problems. It supports your head perfectly and prevents it from tipping in all directions, including forward. Tip: You can rotate this pillow 90 degrees left or right for a unique experience in uncomfortable airplane seats. It compresses to a very small size so you can pack it in your backpack or carry-on. I just clip a lanyard to a loop on my backpack for quick access when I start to fall asleep. It packs so well that the manufacturers had to write it: alPACKa! The final aspect I appreciate is that it just doesn't overheat your throat. And the plastic pieces on the strings snap together so you can easily adjust and lock the fit to your liking. If you're serious about getting some sleep on a long journey, this pillow is just what you need. Sure you can save $20 by buying one of the cheaper ones, but I wouldn't use one of these if you gave me $50. I just arrive miserably at my destination and ruin the first day or two of my trip...not worth it. The downsides of this pillow are minor: I found that it takes her several hours to get rid of these memories. Factory smell of foam when I first got it. But after 3 hours of inactivity on the table without packaging, the smell was completely gone.
