Review on TECLAST M40 Tablet Android Octa Core by Jontrell Fernandes

Bought this tablet to have a bigger screen for watching movies and games. It's amazing for both, most games run smooth, movies look very good. Now I know what you think about what a downside is, but there are two that come to mind. First, the charging port doesn't support USB PD, so USB PD chargers won't work with it at all. The tablet will try to charge any USB stick plugged into it instead of charging it so you're stuck using 5V 2.4A as the highest charge rate which takes around 3-4 hours with the device off to fully charge. The second issue is related to the tablet's power saving/battery settings. The battery is small and this is most likely due to the fact that the screen at minimum brightness consumes 700 mAh when nothing happens, on average playing or watching a movie consumes around 1200 mAh. This means that the battery lasts around 4-5 hours and takes a long time to charge with almost 6-9 hours of use. Overall for the price this is something that had to be sacrificed and I'm ok with that, just bring the battery with you for long trips to address its biggest weakness. So if you think this tablet sounds too good to be true, it isn't, this thing is amazing and worth every penny. Also a tip for screen glare if that's too much for you, onn 10.1's matte screen protector fits almost perfectly with a bit of trimming. I slipped it over the factory fitted screen protector with no problem and solved the glare issue.
