Do yourself a favor and buy some carpet tape. The adhesive on these pieces is nonfunctional. The pieces themselves are similar in shape, but appear to be remnants that have a border edge stitched to them. Not a deal breaker for the price. If you're looking to dress up your stairs with a bit of color, these stair treads are perfectly acceptable.
