The cake cutter cuts very thin slices, but it is a bit difficult to use. An adjustable clipper that I had high hopes for, but 1) the wire was slack and my mechanically gifted guy had to get very frustrated trying to tighten the wire just enough to be useful, then 2) an adjustable section that changes a slice of cheese can't be tightened enough to keep the roller from slipping or wobbling from side to side, making it impossible to cut evenly. A slice of cheese will inevitably be larger on one side. If the wire was taut or easy to pull, and if the adjustable pulley could be secured well to keep it from moving once installed, this would be a good slicer. The wire runs right through the block of cheese. If you don't mind your slices being uneven, you might like this slicer set.
