Good enough to buy a second time

I had the same surge protector in my home office and thought it was very good. I like the two rows of outlets that allow for different types of plugs, and the four "wall warts" plugs don't waste outlets on the strip because other plugs stick out, and the power cord is long and heavy. long, with a flat, rounded plug end that allows the cable to fall against the wall instead of sticking out. I'm buying a replacement because my surge protector was damaged by a power surge during a lightning storm. When power was restored to my house, I found that this surge protector stopped working. He clearly received a very strong shock, enough to partially melt the plastic at the bottom of the strip. But the important part was that hundreds of dollars worth of electronics connected to the device were safe and sound, making that $24 the best I've spent in a long time.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Something is wrong
