<2017 review updated> I bought these shoes for kayaking and found they weren't very good for it. See my original review of the plastic truss handle. it sits at the front of the boot, meaning it digs into the skin when you're on your knees and causes significant discomfort. When I wasn't paddling that much, the occasional discomfort was fine, but now I paddle several times a week and the water can shake, which brings me to my knees, and that plastic handle is extremely uncomfortable. I will look for other shoes. I think if you are just looking for water shoes for the beach, lake or river these will suffice. Please note that they are NOT waterproof. These are low boots and not a tight fit (didn't look for them anyway). As soon as you put your foot in the water, the boot fills with water. Be prepared. <original rating below> I like it. Women's shoes size 11. I tried a smaller size but they were too small so I had to go back. My only complaint is the tie on the front which has a small handle. When you sit on your knees on a paddle board, they dig into your legs. In addition, they are ideal for kayaking.
