All I really wanted was a 1/4" RCA audio cable for my desktop speakers to replace my old cable and a 3.5mm to 1/4". " Adapter that often cracks and hum problems causes poor connection quality. What I never expected was one of the best damn audio cables I've ever had. O Solo, my 15 year old Bose speakers are better than anything I've ever heard from them. I'm sitting here in front of my computer listening to lossless music files like I'm hearing these songs for the first time; I just didn't expect it. Also, the main reason I needed a new cable was because I wanted something which could cause less pops or hum (or no hum at all) with a better connection at the terminals. To my shocked surprise, the RCA connectors fit as snugly and completely as any cable I've ever come across. I originally thought the outside edge of the connector was the wrong size and didn't close to the outside edge of the jack on the speaker. It turned out that they had to be inserted with more force than I'm used to with plugs of this type (not too much); The plug-to-socket seal can also be as airtight as it is snug. Then comes the construction of these cables. In a past life I built stages for concerts and presentations and routed all kinds of audio, video, network and power lines from point to point. I've seen all kinds of quality cables. I can say with confidence that the design of the cable I purchased is one of the best I have used for stage work. Everything is very solidly built, especially for the size of the cable (I bought the smallest length). To be honest I didn't remotely expect to get what I got. I rarely write product reviews, but when I do, it's mostly because I'm completely blown away and amazed by what I've ordered. I don't think I could be happier or more satisfied with the cable. From now on I will most likely only buy cables from this company if the rest of their products are of the same quality. Strangely, the official product images do not match the actual product at all. At least now I know where to get my next 1/4" guitar cable. If you've read this far and are deciding which cable option to buy, I encourage you to try these.
