Review on ⚡️ PowerMax PM3-100: Efficient 110V to 12V RV Power Supply Converter Charger (100 Amp) by Hikeboy Ramey

I ordered this product in April 2016. In December he died. While it worked, I liked this little charger. Ironically, this isn't the first review where I've said something along the lines of "I liked it and then it died." Apparently my device has an internal short circuit. It can be anything, a shorted capacitor, a power transistor, or shorted transformer windings. I have attempted to repair the unit as I have experience repairing electronics but without a schematic and troubleshooting flow chart there is not much I can do. There is no visible damage (no burnt or broken parts). In fact, I was surprised at how solid and well-placed the electronic components are. I can only assume that one of these components is substandard or underpowered to actually handle 100 amps, which is a massive amount of current for a full duty cycle. Had this device lasted 5 years, I might feel like I've gotten my money's worth beyond that. However, I paid $189 for this device in April, which is a tremendous price for something that died 8 months later.
