Well, I have a dog. Part of owning a dog is walking the dog. This dog hates the rain. So I need an umbrella to protect myself and the dog because I don't like getting stuck in the rain either. This dog also hates squirrels, small barking dogs and my neighbor's friend. .All my other umbrellas turned into clunky eyeballs and ended up in the trash pretty quickly. The thing is strong! It's also compact so I can take it with me when it looks like it's going to rain. He turned around only once and then immediately jumped out again. never mind I didn't have to throw it out with all the other inferior umbrellas. I took it to Mexico. Fits in my pocket with no problems. This has kept my girlfriend and I dry every time, and when the sun comes back it packs down small enough not to bother you. This thing is great. I recommend it to everyone.
