Review on 🕛 Joie Whisky Analog Kitchen Timer: Countdown to Perfect Culinary Delights! by Fred Khalifa

I bought this for downtime for my son, seduced by an attractive and appropriately sad face. I've chosen to ignore any negative feedback about the timer's accuracy, as timeouts don't really need to be as accurate as using it in the kitchen. I wish I had spent my time with this product and heeded all the warnings, this product is not at all useful for use in a naughty chair or in the kitchen! which are reason enough not to order this product: 1) The timer didn't beep at all when the time was up. The only way to tell when the time was up was to listen for the soft ticking that stopped, which I could only get by moving my ear an inch away from the timer. 2) It is not possible to set this value to an arbitrary time. with every precision that would make it useful in the kitchen. This is what most of the other reviews complain about, but I didn't understand the problem they described. The user sets the timer by turning the top half of the device. However, all the numbers and marks rotate with this top half, so there is no ZERO mark on the other half to time correctly. The user must guess how long the timer will run, which is generally not possible with any accuracy. This is one of those products that makes you wonder if the designers tried their own product at least once before sending it into production. . While it looks decent, it's completely useless for its intended purpose. Don't ignore all those negative user reviews like me, it's rubbish.
