Difficult egg timer setting. You have to rotate it 360 degrees in one direction and then in the other direction for the amount of time you want. I can never remember if it should be clockwise first or counterclockwise first. Also, it often doesn't work anymore. I hear it ticking and think time is running out. Then later remark that he has stopped keeping track of time and never calls when he should. We have a toddler so it may have been dropped too many times. Not a very durable product.

I bought this cute little egg timer to use for down time with my son. The first thing I did was put a black mark on the "0" because it's hard to see. I tried this and it seemed to work fine. But less than 24 hours after we received it, it was already broken. Something inside is going to rattle and you can't take it apart to see if you can fix it, so of course it's just a piece of pretty junk. I ended up buying a simple $5 kitchen timer that did the job the timer was supposed to do.

I bought this for downtime for my son, seduced by an attractive and appropriately sad face. I've chosen to ignore any negative feedback about the timer's accuracy, as timeouts don't really need to be as accurate as using it in the kitchen. I wish I had spent my time with this product and heeded all the warnings, this product is not at all useful for use in a naughty chair or in the kitchen! which are reason enough not to order this product: 1) The timer didn't beep at all when the time was up…
