Review on Gikfun AE1207 12V DC Peristaltic Dosing Pump with Connector - Ideal for Arduino Aquarium, Lab Analysis, DIY Projects by Sarah Zepeda

Arrived quickly, safe and sound. The pump is very quiet and seems to work very well. I pumped out 1 gallon of water using a 10ft pipe (too much, just for testing). Based on a flow rate of 100 mL/min, it should take approximately 25 minutes to pump a gallon. Took me about an hour, but there have been incidents (the hose hasn't been submerged in water for a while, etc.), so I think it should work roughly as advertised, non-stop. I use it for wine making so I'm wondering if the pipes are ok (in the state of California they're all known to cause cancer!) and if the motor has a duty cycle since it takes about 2 1/2 hours to make would take 5 gallons of wine if everything is going perfectly which can cause engine overload. Great for wine making as you only need to fit a tube on one end and a small stopper on the other that fits into an empty jug and doesn't touch the wine to prevent contamination and the low pump speed and small tube opening ensure offset layer for minimal disruption. After the pump was finished I sniffed the motor and there was absolutely no smell of burning as that is an indication that the motor may be failing. Also, the engine was warm but not too hot, so that seems like a good thing. I recommend this product.
