Review on ๐Ÿšฝ Bemis 790TDGSL 000 Hospitality Antimicrobial Toilet Seat Cover by Ben Demers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is how toilet seats should be made.

I'm a big guy, over 300 pounds. And regardless of my size, I've always had issues with twisting, loosening, sliding off the toilet bowl, and breaking the bumper. I'm tired of changing toilet seats every year or two. This item is well built, durable and will last a long time with proper care. I like the design of the seat. The bolts are made of steel and firmly cast into the seat hinges. All you have to do is put it in the holes on the bowl and tighten the nuts. Nuts are made of a harder plastic so they won't bend or twist, but they're not so brittle that they break. The nut is a long threaded sleeve that covers almost the entire length of the bolt. It also has what appears to be a standard nut molded into the end of a "sleeve" that will intentionally break off when the correct torque is reached to secure the fit. This provides the right amount of pressure to keep the saddle on the bowl without over-tightening and potentially damaging the bowl or seat. And, boy, does it fit right in the bowl. There is no slipping or twisting here. All you need is a standard 5/8 inch wrench. I used a 5/8 ratcheting box wrench which made the job a lot easier. The bumpers are made of a harder rubber material that fully covers the rim of the bowl. down into a molded cavity with a boss all around to prevent the bumper from rocking, breaking or twisting. The soft close feature is great too. No sudden seat bumps and jumps out of the seat. Or if you have grandkids like me at home do not slam the toilet seat after they use it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
