Review on Oenophilia Acrylic Chiller Stainless Steel by Mike Brumfield

Good product but not exactly as described

My review of the green marble version also applies to this product: I saw a similar product at a sidewalk cafe recently and even on a hot summer day it held a large bottle of cold soda water throughout a long dinner. Based on that, I decided to buy a set of these items and just keep them in the back of the freezer ready when I need them. Overall I'm happy with the product - it's actually not much more than a hollowed out block of marble - but it's easy to use and definitely keeps bottled drinks cold for a long time. The size is a little big. The side is maybe half an inch wider in diameter than the bottles I usually use. I imagine a squat bottle of champagne would fit comfortably, but I suspect the small half-inch gap reduces cooling efficiency somewhat as it creates a layer of air between the bottle and the cooler wall. expect. An added benefit is that it would be quite difficult to accidentally knock over a bottle while inside one of these babies. One point of criticism is that in wet weather, the stone surface cools the ambient air below the dew point and thus "sweats". "Quite significant. It's not a flaw in the product - just physics at work - but you can get a pretty small puddle under the wine rack that can (let's say) damage fine wood paneling if you're not careful. My other complaint is What I received is not black but more of a medium shade of gray It works great and everything just not as shown in the photo Otherwise it's a great product that does what it says on the tin.
