This stand is very handy as it contains food and water bowls and thanks to the pull-out tray it is much easier to remove bird droppings from under the perch. Unfortunately the included ladder is too steep. for my bird and he refuses to come down. It was a big reason for the purchase, so it's a disappointment. Also, he stands right over the middle of the stairs and poops right on top of them, and the poop gets into the cracks where it's impossible to clean. So I removed the stairs entirely. My husband will screw in the screws from below to attach another ladder. The arrangement of the feeding bowls is also not optimal. Birds don't like to eat sideways, they like to eat in front of their food. I have a feeling the bowls could be placed better. On top of that, since the large hook at the end for hanging the toy is slanted, my parrot just wants to climb on it and try to stand on it instead of dangling from the perch. This usually causes it to fall and spin, so I removed that as well. All in all a great idea with poor execution.
