I bought this cooling jacket for summer rides. Yesterday I soaked it in water for the specified time, squeezed out just enough water so it didn't drip like crazy when I put it on, and then went for a walk. The outside temperature was between 88 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Cooling ended in about an hour and 45 minutes, including about 20-25 minutes indoors while shopping. Bottom line: while he was working he was great and if I can spend almost 2 hours with him over the summer I'm happy. However, don't think you can chill this vest for 6-8 or more hours - at least not without using it the way I used it. You could get more if you just stand by.
