To be honest, I've never heard of Innocn monitors. That made me a little nervous when ordering. I'm not a gamer, but a wide monitor also comes in handy for any application that needs many windows open at once (e.g. business and finance, graphics, engineering, etc.), and it helps to see more than one window after another instead of constantly switching between applications. In any case, when the monitor was delivered to my home, I saw that my nervousness was completely unfounded: Innocn is a very high-quality monitor. absolutely no damage in transit. The box contained a monitor, an HDMI cable, a USB-C cable, and a power cable. Although the ad mentioned that a power supply was also included, I was glad there was no mains transformer unit - the power supply is located inside the monitor, so all that is needed is a standard business-to-machine type cable! The two components of the stand and the operating instructions were of course also included. To complete the package I received a copy of the actual color calibration report for the monitor, which was interesting. It was actually tied to my device's serial number, not just a general report that's the same for everyone. I mentioned in the title that this monitor is superbly designed. By that I meant the assembly of the monitor and stand. Thanks to the thoughtful design, the assembly of the two parts of the stand and the monitor stand requires no tools. The base of the monitor attaches to the standpipe with a single wing nut that has been captively secured to the base and is easily hand tightened, then the 'wing' folds in after tightening so that it is snug and does not protrude. The stem comes pre-installed with a plate that attaches to the monitor and no screws are required to attach it. The plate has four tabs: the top two are inserted into the slots in the monitor, then the sliding, spring-loaded knob is pushed down so that the bottom two tabs on the plate fit flush into the monitor. Release the button and the stand will snap securely into place. The only reason you would need to use any sort of mounting tool would be if you used a separate VESA mount and then used the four screws that came with it. They are screwed into the back of the monitor if required. There are slots in the four corners of the stand mounting plate to make room for the screws so they don't get lost and are available if you ever decide to use a VESA mount. See what I mean by great design and engineering? Everything fits perfectly, easily and safely! This technique extends to adjusting the height of the monitor on the stand. The stand has a spring-loaded holder that slides into a slot on the shaft. The spring tension is perfectly matched to the weight of the monitor, so once assembled, the height can be adjusted simply by raising or lowering the monitor. It's so well balanced that it stays at your chosen height without having to tighten any knobs to keep it there. Smart! Of course, the stand also adjusts for tilt, and you can even rotate the monitor into a portrait configuration. This would be very useful for people who often need to display a long spreadsheet or other document as there is a lot of information that can fit on this wide screen when turned on its side like this! Of course, all this glossy design would look like lipstick on a pig if the monitor itself had poor image quality. Luckily, that's not the case, as the almost borderless image (only very thin borders on the top and two sides) is very sharp, with excellent color reproduction and no dead or stuck pixels that I could see. I've attached a screenshot to illustrate this point. Of course, the picture doesn't represent the true image of the monitor, but we hope it gives an idea of the quality. The monitor has two video inputs: HDMI and DP, as well as a 3.5mm audio input if you want to use the built-in speakers. The PC we bought this monitor for already has a great sounding external speaker so we'll just keep using it, but it's good to know that the monitor has a built in stereo sound system should you need it. There is also a USB-C port. At first I didn't understand what it was for, but turns out it's for power. So if you have a USB hub that supports PD input, you can use the monitor's USB port to power or charge multiple devices. The connector delivers up to 65W of power. I would have no hesitation in recommending this EXCELLENT monitor to anyone. Once you get used to the wide view it will be difficult to go back to anything smaller!
