Review on STYDDI Garden Hose Quick Release Connect Coupler: Metal Fitting Quick Connector 3/4" GHT Male and Female - No Leaks Water Hoses Quick Disconnect Adapter, 4 Set by Dang Reid

Updated review: They're inconsistent and very close to awful.

UPDATE: They are very inconsistent and showing very early signs of corrosion. The first set worked fine, the next 2 sets were nothing but problems. They connect fine when they're not connected to the faucet or the timer, hose, etc., but once they're connected to something, they don't want to connect, OR disconnect -- I had to force one off with a screwdriver. to return the set. Wish I could return the 2nd set as well.I'm going back to Gardena -- It's going to be expensive, but I don't care. The Gardena ones have lasted nearly 6 YEARS, these ones are already failing, and I can't fight with these stupid things any more.Original They are a a little harder to connect compared some, like Gardena. Gardena is a simple PUSH to connect, whereas with STYDDI you have to pull back on female connector to insert the male. I presume this is to create a tighter connection, but it makes it more of a two-handed process than with Gardena (or Melnor, which I do NOT recommend). I'd actually say the STYDDI is a little fussy with the connect and disconnect process, but what I like is the sturdiness and what I *think will be excellent durability overall, and they're less expensive than Gardena, which, while offering great products, they are generally over-priced on everything.Out of 3 sets of STYDDI, I had one that failed and leaked -- UPDATE: easily HALF of the 2nd and 3rd sets either leak, and/or won't connect OR disconnect. They're pretty close to awful.

Pros
  • Was very easy to attach and no leaks
Cons
  • Limited availability in some regions
