Works great with old single glazed timber windows. My house is 1930 or earlier and some of the windows are old. I've used this on 2 old single pane windows and it took about 30 minutes total (you'll have to wait 10 minutes after removing the tape for it to set) including wiping down the surfaces and trimming off the excess if you are done. I could have screwed it up in one of the following ways: 1 - the surface wasn't cleaned/degreased thoroughly enough 2 - the surface wasn't glued perfectly aligned or 3 dried with a hair dryer and pressed to the point where it was too much stress. I think it's because one of the windows I fitted the kit to had the tape peeled off the underside of the frame. I put the tape on a horizontal surface, which I think is the main reason, but since it didn't come down to all of that and only one window, I'm guessing two other factors contributed. There is also a possibility of mechanical impact as it is behind an open frame headboard and can be hit by a pillow. Whatever the reason I roughly secured it with painters tape as it is not very visible. When the tape peeled off, I only noticed it because I felt cold air blowing through it, and that cold caused condensation to form on the plastic from the side of the room. After the repair, it miraculously became draught-free again. I would even consider it in the summer if you don't mind having your blinds in a fixed position. One more note: there really is enough material. I was a little apprehensive as my windows are unusually large (typical for their age I guess) but they were more than enough for the job. I am very satisfied with this product
