Review on Enhance Your Vehicle's Performance with Walker's Exhaust Quiet-Flow 21745 Muffler by Joe Michels

Bought this and Walker muffler 21746 for both sides of my 2009 Subaru Forester when one of my original mufflers had an exhaust leak. The shape is slightly different but they look the same and fit perfectly. The tailpipe tip is very nice and better than the simple Forester based pipe tip I have. Stainless steel constructions should last a very long time. The hardest part of the installation was removing the existing bolts on the flange. The existing studs were so badly corroded that I couldn't find a tool for them and had to grind them down. After both sides of the bolts were ground and the muffler removed, I had to drill out the stuck bolt residue in the exhaust flange of one of them. If your screws are corroded I would have a grinder, drill and dremel tool ready to loosen the screws. Not too difficult, just took a little time. In total it took about 2 hours to replace both mufflers. I replaced the exhaust flange gaskets with Walker gasket 31388 and the flange bolts with Dorman bolts 03423. Love these mufflers and recommend them.
