Review on CENTOCORE 700SC-001 Round Wooden Toilet Seat Featuring Slow Close, Heavy Duty Molded Wood With CENTOCORE Technology, White by John Miranda

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Amateurly manufactured (and mine scratches my leg!)

The molds for the seat and elsewhere have leakage seams. I wish I had spotted this before I installed it because I don't want to have to wait for a return, I'll just take a sharp blade or sandpaper and carefully trim it off. Not the sharpest pic attached bit it's quite visible. Most impressive is the manufacturer has managed to invent anti-gravity quite by accident. The seat and lid sit there mid air like a cat with some hot buttered toast tied to it's back. Maybe over time this will improve and I suppose it's better than the slamming of those that don't have dampers. You'll see that I got some free silicone grommets which is generous but I'm not quite sure what to do with them. They don't fit the screws or anywhere else that I can see, the installation instructions say nothing.Otherwise? Seems decently solid and the screws are standard issue drop-em-in-the-hole-and-tighten. I do like that there's no back and forward play --- they go in the hole in one place and that's where it will hopefully stay.YMMV and you might want to look at spending a few bucks more with a named brand with actual quality control.
