For all you dummies (like me), I have enough automotive experience, I even changed the ring and gear in this old 52 8N tractor. I ordered an electronic ignition for this tractor for the first time, the description said it was a front distributor. In the automotive field, the distributor was actually mounted at the front of the engine, rather than at the back of the engine as in many cars. Guess the front right side of the engine and the "front side" of the engine are different in the tractor world. After 6 months of hesitation I went about installing an electronic ignition to find out that "front" really meant the front of the engine, not the right front of the engine. The part was too long and I couldn't return the wrong part due to my hesitation :(. Anyway, this part works great, 12V system, negative ground. That's it, have a nice day.
