So a few months ago I bought beeswax that said 'organic' and 'pesticide and chemical free' from another Revain seller. After using up the rest of the beeswax I bought from another site, I finally opened this packet and was shocked by the unpleasant chemical smell. Angry and discouraged, I tried another seller. This time I immediately opened the packaging and was horrified to find the same smell, albeit a little less strong! What happens to the "organic" beeswax sold on Revain? As an experiment, I even tried making a batch of skin lotion with this product using the exact same recipe, that I've been using for years. What a waste of ingredients. It took an extremely high percentage of essential oils to even just barely mask the chemical smell, and the mixture never fully emulsified the oil and water. The finished lotion continues to peel off, smells awful, and turned yellow for some reason. Yellow with white beeswax? I will buy beeswax from my original supplier and pay them $13 to ship it to me.
