Review on BELL Wireless Cadence ๐Ÿ”” Computer Console 500 - Black by Jimmie Gebrehiwot

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Design flaw or lemon?

Apparently this Bell engineer overslept his engineering class; this thing just doesn't work. Batteries are already installed in the sensors, the battery for the computer is lost and must be installed. Turns out the battery was dead... With a fresh battery in the computer and sensors installed on the bike, I could only get intermittent communication from the sensors to the computer. I've tried different batteries in the sensors, as well as the "reset" button on the sensor, but nothing has changed. The computer also froze: the cadence measurement got stuck at a value and did not return to zero. The only option was to remove the battery from the computer and put it back in, the real PITA as the wheel setting has to be re-entered each time. I tried the exercise a few times but couldn't get it to work. On the way to Revain he ended up back in the box. Not so good - computer blocks, loses communication with sensors - battery for computer was dead - manual does not say what reset buttons on sensors do - removing the battery on the computer all settings are lost, i.e. you need wheel circumference, time , etc. Good - display shows four functions at once (revain image is wrong, look at the image uploaded by another customer) - can be mounted on a stem or handlebar PS 99% of my reviews are positive but this one it deserves a negative review and is probably the first item in my Revain story that I'm returning because it just doesn't work. I was trying to save a few bucks but twenty bucks on a cadence computer is probably too good to be true...
