This scale is suitable for both envelopes and large packages. We mainly use it to deliver items from our online shop and it handles both small parcels and larger (20 x 18 x 16 boxes) up to 30lbs and seems to be accurate every time! We've had no instances where the USPS, FedEx, or UPS determined a package weighed more than we weighed it, which we believe is the best indicator of accuracy. One feature we really like is that the reader is connected to the weight with a cable, so even with large packages you can move the reader away from the scale to read the weight. Our previous scales had readings on the front of the scale and with larger packages it was extremely difficult to read the weight once the package was on the scale. The scale has two foldable "wings" that allow you to weigh an envelope or flat postal envelope vertically. I have no idea why, but just because we don't see any use in it doesn't mean someone else won't!
