Difficult to attach to weapons!

I bought this to be a vertical monitor companion to the ultra-wide.
The monitor itself is excellent, but when I attached it to the bracket I found that a piece of metal used for the native stand was sticking out of the back. This makes using a VESA mount almost impossible without buying a stand to hold it.
