Review on 🛌 Baloo Soft Weighted Blanket - Heavy Cotton Quilted Blanket (20 lb Full/Queen, 60x80 in., Pebble White) by Tanya Smith

I purchased the Baloo weighted blanket after learning the benefits of using weighted blankets for some of the issues associated with anxiety. After giving birth to my daughter 9 months ago, I struggled with postpartum anxiety (PPA) and while I found ways to deal with aspects of my anxiety, I still had trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. By the time my blanket arrived I hadn't slept more than 3 hours a night for the third week - and it was rare if 3 hours in a row. Even on the nights when the child slept 12 hours, I couldn't sleep even when I was exhausted; No matter what I tried, my body just wouldn't relax. I don't remember falling asleep the first night I used this comforter. For the first time in months, I just lay down and fell asleep. The weighted blanket adds a layer of physical comfort that finally allowed me to relax. I've been wearing the duvet for a little over a week and my sleep has improved a lot. Of course the baby still wakes up in the middle of the night (haven't found a miracle cure yet!) but now I can actually go back to bed with her after waking up. I traveled over the weekend without taking my comforter and found my husband trying them out while I was away. He was skeptical and even said he didn't like it when I first put him on our bed. Funny how it's changed. When I got back from my trip the 20lb blanket somehow made it to his side of the bed :) I've since rebuilt my baloo and am working on learning to share. I guess you can tell we're waiting for a plus-size version for couples (maybe CalKing sized. Hint, hint). But seriously, if you're struggling to sleep, give this product a try. I am a strong believer in trying natural drug alternatives before trying prescription drugs and am so thankful for the existence of this company and their product. And somehow they made the blanket so you don't overheat - it's still mid summer here in central Texas and I don't notice any extra warmth compared to a standard blanket - AMAZING!
