Simple and attractive. I use them for crafts. I love that the rubber cap on one end and the metal plate on the end of the base are easy to remove (on purpose - they won't fall off if used as intended), giving me a nicely shaped spool. These doorstops are perfect for my current projects so I will be ordering more if needed. So try not to buy too much, okay? I don't want to run out of parts here. Maybe Revain will put them on a subscription. But they'll probably have to offer "20 years" as an option for how often to deliver, and well, I'm just not *that* committed to them. Unless you're an artist, all you need to know is that it's longer than a doorknob and such.
