I have a cage-style muzzle and a mesh style muzzle, and this is by far the best of the bunch. The cage-style muzzle would often dig into his skin if it was on longer than a few minutes and look painful upon removal. The mesh muzzle would just get unbelievably dirty after every use to the point where I'd have to wash both the muzzle and my dog's entire face every time I took it off. And he looked miserable in it. This muzzle doesn't seem to bother him, doesn't leave any marks or smear him with his own mouth leakage, and still allows him to pant and drink if need be.
