Review on πŸ’ͺ WEN 73016 Heavy-Duty Chrome Shop Bar Stool with 300-Pound Weight Capacity by Joyce Swihart

You get what you pay for (and you don't pay much!)

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT! I ordered it because it had a 4 star rating and was very cheap. I should have listened to feedback on build issues. Putting this stool together was a nightmare. At first you think the bolts are too short or the base plate (large round bar) is too small. It took me over an hour to put it together and I didn't actually finish it. I'm missing a screw on the footrest. My wife had to struggle to spread (spread) her legs with her strong leg and arms to get the round bar close enough to the leg for me to push the bolt all the way through and tighten a nut. That's ridiculous. After this was done I had trouble screwing the swivel onto the chair. Look at the picture I've attached. When I screwed the screw in, a piece of metal thread just fell out. Dirty craftsmanship. Now when you turn the stool, you can only hear this part slide. Also, there are metal parts inside the round metal bars, which you can also hear by sliding on them. I'm guessing it's scrap metal after they punched bolt holes at the factory and dropped them. There are 3 screw sizes in the pack and the instructions don't tell you which sizes to use. I mean, of course once you start assembling you realize that the longest screws are going to be needed to attach the round bars to the legs, but you just don't know that. I do not recommend this product. If you want a cheap garage stool, look elsewhere. Pay a little more for a quality stool and READ THE REVIEWS beforehand. I usually do this but at the time of purchase this product had a 4 star rating and I didn't think it would be so awful to assemble. It was more frustrating than assembling the trampoline alone.
