
Actually only works to raise or lower the monitor. I was planning to use it horizontally but there are problems. If you mount it on a hand that also rotates (landscape to portrait) it doesn't work uselessly, there is a way to lock your hand to prevent rotation. The mount itself is very heavy. It's not aluminum, it's heavy steel. The added weight of a horizontally shifted monitor is too much and it rotates to landscape.
